Code & Create: A Homeschool Publishing Lab

Designed especially for homeschool families, Code & Create is a unique class that blends literacy, logic, and collaboration through hands-on exploration. Using beautifully crafted, screen-free materials developed by researchers from MIT, learners will dive into the foundations of computer science—unplugged. Throughout the class, children will engage in meaningful activities that foster computational thinking skills such as sequencing, pattern recognition, classification, abstraction, and debugging—all while working together to write, illustrate, and publish a collaborative book.

This class is offered every Thursday from 1:00pm - 2:00pm from August 20, 2026 - December 17, 2026. There will not be class November 26.

Designed especially for homeschool families, Code & Create is a unique class that blends literacy, logic, and collaboration through hands-on exploration. Using beautifully crafted, screen-free materials developed by researchers from MIT, learners will dive into the foundations of computer science—unplugged. Throughout the class, children will engage in meaningful activities that foster computational thinking skills such as sequencing, pattern recognition, classification, abstraction, and debugging—all while working together to write, illustrate, and publish a collaborative book.

This class is offered every Thursday from 1:00pm - 2:00pm from August 20, 2026 - December 17, 2026. There will not be class November 26.

Using beautifully crafted, screen-free materials developed by researchers from MIT, learners will dive into the foundations of computer science—unplugged. Throughout the class, children will engage in meaningful activities that foster computational thinking skills such as sequencing, pattern recognition, classification, abstraction, and debugging—all while working together to write, illustrate, and publish a collaborative book.
