In-Classroom Education Visits

Bringing the wonder of MHK Play Studio directly to your classroom.

At MHK Play Studio, we believe play is the foundation for exploration, creativity, and connection. Our in-classroom visits bring the same hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences your students love from the Studio—right to you. Designed for early childhood and elementary classrooms, each visit is intentionally crafted around your students’ current interests and curriculum goals, combining open-ended materials with guided discovery.

Let us transform your classroom into a space of imagination, innovation, and joyful learning—without ever leaving your school!

Mad Scientist

Mad Scientist

Hands-on chemistry for curious minds
Step into the world of experimentation and discovery as children mix, pour, and observe real chemical reactions in action! From bubbling potions to color-changing solutions, our Mad Scientist experience introduces core science concepts such as states of matter, chemical change, and cause and effect—all through safe, engaging activities designed for young learners.

Teacher Connection: Great for introducing the scientific method, matter, and chemistry basics.

These sessions can be adapted for preschool - 3rd Grade

Code & Create

Code & Create

Building the foundations of coding—no screens required!
In this hands-on experience, children become programmers through play as they use storytelling, movement, and manipulatives to understand the logic behind coding. By creating and following sequences, patterns, and algorithms, students develop problem-solving skills and practice spatial reasoning—all while working collaboratively to “debug” and improve their designs.

Teacher Connection: The perfect addition to technology and math units - introduce sequencing, pattern recognition, and early computational thinking in an unplugged, play-based way.

These sessions can be adapted for preschool - 3rd Grade

Roller Coaster Mayhem

Engineering at its most exciting!
Students become engineers as they design, build, and test their own roller coasters using flexible tracks, marbles, and creative problem-solving. Along the way, they explore gravity, motion, and cause-and-effect relationships. This engaging experience fosters collaboration, perseverance, and the scientific method in a thrilling, hands-on way.

Teacher Connection: Ideal for introducing and expanding on the engineering design process, motion, force, and simple machines.

These sessions can be adapted for preschool - 5th Grade

Wind, Rain, and Wonder

Investigating the power and wonder of weather
From making mini tornadoes to exploring clouds, rain, and wind, this session turns weather into a hands-on science lab. Children will make predictions, observe outcomes, and record their findings—strengthening inquiry skills while deepening understanding of the natural world.

Teacher Connection: A wonderful companion to lessons on the water cycle, seasons, and climate.

These sessions can be adapted for preschool - 3rd Grade

Flit, Float, and Fly

Flit, Float, and Fly

Exploring aerodynamics through design and discovery
Children will design, craft, and test materials in our mobile wind tunnel to learn what makes objects lift, spin, and soar. Through trial and error, they’ll explore scientific concepts such as air resistance, balance, and force—while building fine motor skills and confidence in problem-solving.

Teacher Connection: Perfect for units on weather, transportation, or engineering design.

These sessions can be adapted for preschool - 5th Grade

Animal Explorations

Animal Explorations

Up-close encounters that spark empathy and curiosity
Meet some of our MHK Play Studio friends—Madagascar hissing cockroaches, a leopard gecko, and our guinea pig! Students will learn about animal habitats, adaptations, and care through guided observation and gentle interaction. This program encourages respect for living things and integrates beautifully into life science and nature study themes.

Teacher Connection: Supports life science units on animals, habitats, and ecosystems
