At MHK Play Studio, we have always been guided by one central question:
What does our community need right now?

Over the past several months, we’ve been listening closely to families and recognizing a growing need for quality after-school options for children in our community. As schedules shift and demands on families continue to evolve, access to reliable, engaging care during after-school hours has become increasingly important.

We are excited to share that, with the support of USD 383, MHK Play Studio will be offering after-school care for the 2026–2027 school year for students attending Marlatt, Lee, Bergman, and Theodore Roosevelt.

This is a meaningful step forward — not as a complete solution, but as part of a broader effort to expand access to after-school care for families in Manhattan.

Our approach to after-school programming will be rooted in the same philosophy that guides everything we do. Children will be welcomed into an environment that values play, creativity, and connection. Time after school should feel different — a space to decompress, explore, build relationships, and engage in meaningful experiences that support development across all domains.

We are currently working on finalizing program details, including transportation logistics, daily structure, and enrollment information. These updates will be shared on our website soon.

We recognize that this initial offering does not yet meet the needs of every family or every school. We will continue to explore partnerships and opportunities to expand access as we are able.
